Kauai to Oahu - Pearl Harbor, Arizona Memorial & USS Missouri

From Kauai, fly over to Oahu for a day and visit one of the most meaningful sites in America – Pearl Harbor. It was at Pearl Harbor, where on December 7, 1941, the United States experienced a fierce assault from the Imperial armies of Japan and was subsequently drawn into World War II.

Conveniently departing from the Lihue Airport on Kauai, this one-day trip offers the most in-depth excursion to Pearl Harbor. You’ll get to see the Arizona Memorial, which represents where the attack took place that initiated the war. Then visit the USS Missouri battleship, which hosted the proceedings that finished the war. You’ll have lots of time to visit all the famous sites and the Pearl Harbor Visitor Center. A World War II expert guide conducts the entire tour.

After your visit to Pearl Harbor, your tour continues with a drive-through of the Punchbowl National Cemetery of the Pacific with its meticulously landscaped acres, which includes the courts of the missing, the chapel and mosaic maps of the Pacific theaters of action in World War II and Korea.

The final portion of the excursion will be a drive through the historic area of Honolulu, where you see attractions such as Kawaiahao Church, the Hawaii State Library and Archives, the statue of King Kamehameha, Iolani Palace and the quaint Mission Houses.
